Dr. Hina is a Research Fellow, taking a Lead in Energy, Environment and Climate Change and heading the China Study Center, at Sustainable Development Policy Institute (SDPI, Islamabad Pakistan. She has a strong educational background in Environmental Sciences and management and has a doctorate degree in Ecology from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Beijing, and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering and Sciences from Beijing Institute of technology, China. Her areas of expertise include Natural resource management, ecosystem services assessment and valuations, Energy, Climate change, water resource management and governance, Public-­‐private partnerships, greening China Pakistan Economic Corridor and Belt and Road (BRI), and Sustainable development Goals (SDGs). Currently taking a Lead in Energy at SDPI, she manages and provides evidence-based analyses towards the development of policy and strategies for the energy sector of Asia Pacific countries and South Asia including Pakistan, on the issues of climate change, renewable energy, energy efficiency, SDG7, energy access and finance.
