Gana Unnayan Kendra (GUK) started its journey in 1985 established by a group of dedicated social activists as a community-led non-government organization working with the purpose to establish a poverty-free equitable society where justice, equality, human rights and dignity of all people are ensured. GUK works with poor, extremely poor, vulnerable, excluded and all other disadvantaged groups of people especially women, children, ethnic groups and person with a disability to bring about a sustainable positive change in their lives. It is working in 11 districts across Rajshahi, Rangpur, Khulna and Chattagram divisions through its 75 offices in district and upazila level including Rohingya Refugee camps in Ukhia and Teknaf Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district.
