Janathakshan, founded in 2011 is the legacy organisation of Practical Action Sri Lanka. Geared towards “Green and Sustainable Development”, Janathakshan has four main thematic areas viz: Sustainable Energy; Disaster Risk Reduction and Climate Change Adaptation; Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise Development, Agriculture and Natural Resource Management and Practical Answers (that provides free on-demand technical information to general public). In the sector of Climate Change, Janathakshan works at the grassroots on policy advocacy work. It is one of the leading organisations in Sri Lanka engaged in UNFCCC processes.
