Solidarity for Afghan Families (SAF) was established in October 2005 as a non-governmental, non-political and non for profit organisation with an independent legal identity. It was registered with the Ministry of Economy on October 2005 (Reg. No. 148). Considering the huge developmental gap in Afghanistan, SAF focuses on four areas of work:

1. Health
2. Education
3. Social Development
4. Agriculture and husbandry.

SAF’s mission is Empowering of Afghan families to combat against diseases, poverty, social injustice and illiteracy and its vision is a developed and welfare society for Afghan families.

SAF since its establishment has been able to implement around 55 developmental and humanitarian projects in Faryab, Jawzjan, Nimroz, Balkh Kabul, Bamyan, Sar-e-Pul and Baghlan provinces of Afghanistan through which it has been extensively involved in climate change and environmental protection issues.
