MPSSM was initiated by Pramod Zinjade, the current President of the organisation. Mahatma Phule Samaj Seva Mandal (MPSSM) was established in 1982 by the initiative of the local youth group of Pothare Village of Karmala taluka. MPSSM has worked so far in 17 districts and 24 blocks of Maharashtra since its inception. Over the period of time, the organisation has grown up and presently the main thrust is being on Area Development Programmes in which all the deprived sections of society are benefited.
