CANSA helps amplify the voices of South Asian civil society in global climate negotiations, such as the UNFCCC global climate forums. CANSA and its CSO partners in the region organise several side events at COP and the Bonn Climate conference every year. By representing the interests and concerns of the region's communities, CANSA helps ensure that South Asia's perspectives are taken into account in international climate agreements.

It advocates for ambitious climate action and policies at both the national and regional levels, to influence government policies and programs to promote renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, and other climate-friendly initiatives.

Building capacity and raising awareness about climate change in South Asia, by organising workshops, training programs, and awareness campaigns, CANSA helps empower local communities and organizations to take action on climate change and build resilience to its impacts.
