60th sessions of the Subsidiary Bodies | 3-13 June 2024 | World Conference Center, Bonn

The annual SB’s serve as a midpoint between two COPs, and are also crucial to set the tone (expectations) from the year.

The highlight for this year would be:

accelerating the tripling or RE and doubling of EE inline with recent IEA estimates.
role for G7/G 20 Economies on how to cater an ambitious fossil fuel phase out plan..
and without doubt the most important part would be, who, when and where would be primarily responsible to gather means of implementation for ( climate finance ) for keeping hopes alive for a world within 1.5 deg.

Sustainable Consumption and Production to Enhance Climate Ambition in South Asia

When: 8^th June 2024, 10:15 – 11:30 (CET)

Purpose: The first side event by SWITCH-Asia in the official UNFCCC space, in collaboration with Climate Action Network South Asia (CANSA), will serve as a platform for sharing regional insights and experiences at the intersection of climate change and SCP/CE. It aims to facilitate knowledge exchange and lessons learned in this critical area.
