Doctors for Clean Air Conclave 2022 is being organised in partnership with National Centre for Disease Control, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and has participation from The International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics, Indian Medical Association, The Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India, Indian Academy of Paediatrics, Association of Surgeons of India, Indian Chest Society, Indian Radiological and Imaging Association, Indian Academy of Neurology.

This conclave is being organised on the occasion of the third United Nations International Day of Clean Air for blue skies, under the theme ‘The Air We Share’. The resolution to observe the day stresses the importance of an urgent need to raise public awareness at all levels and promote and facilitate actions to improve air quality.

The first ‘Doctors for Clean Air Conclave’ was organised on September 6, 2020 and had over 2400 doctors from 25+ countries register for the event. Seeing the success and positive impact of the first conclave, we are thrilled to organise the conclave again this year with the National Medical Associations. The ‘Doctors for Clean Air Conclave’ is a virtual event by the doctors and for the doctors. It will focus on highlighting the importance of doctors in acting as Clean Air Champions, the role of medical associations in engaging doctors across India, and the health impacts of air pollution. The conclave have sessions focused on actionable steps doctors can take in this regard, their achievements and aspirations and how they can use social media to engage with the masses.
