Water availability, scarcity and management are among the top global risks. LEAD Pakistan’s water programme aims to incorporate social, economic and environmental aspects of water discourse, policies and programmes, at national and international levels. Our focus areas of Transboundary Waters, Groundwater and Hydrodisasters, seek guidance from the crosscutting themes of Access, Equity and Hazards, for sustainable water management. People are at the heart of our water initiative – because water is life. We realize and understand the importance of water in this era of massive power disparities between actors and solidarities, inequitable resource distributions, proliferating population growth and climate change vulnerabilities. Keeping this in mind, LEAD Pakistan issued a theme based newsletter ‘Making the Difference’, which Highlights an Integrated Perspective on Water, the challenges and way forward. In this issue of MTD you will find infographics, interviews with water experts, and many other materials.
