IRADe will organise two side events and one Exhibit at CoP27, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt.

1. Locally Determined Choices for Nationally Determined Contributions, 8 Nov 2022 (16:45-18:15), Room: Hatshepsut, Sharm El Sheikh International Convention Centre (SHICC)
The session proposes to create a platform to showcase a menu of solutions and models of climate resilience building from the cities and rural areas in the global South to help cross-learn and share among actors across countries and ecosystems and to get the attention of decision-makers on options to strengthen the NDCs. IRADe will co-host this session with LAYA.

 2. Climate Adaptive Heat Stress Action Plans for Vulnerable Communities, 10 Nov 2022 (14:00-15:00), India Pavilion, Sharm El Sheikh International Convention Centre (SHICC):
Through the session, IRADe will showcase climate-adaptive heat action plans focusing on vulnerable communities in South Asia. The session will also showcase the climate-adaptive Heat Action Plan framework for implementation, coordination, and evaluation of extreme heat response activities to mitigate the negative impacts of heat stress. The project is supported by IDRC and APN.

3. Electric Vehicles: Charging Patterns and Impacts on DISCOMS, 10-12 Nov 2022, Booth No. 46, Sharm El Sheikh International Convention Centre (SHICC)
IRADe developed an EV load calculator for DISCOMS to understand patterns of electricity load & charging demand until 2030. It also indicates the annual energy needed by EVs matching their charging behaviour with typical hourly load curves for all seasons. The project was supported by Shakti Foundation.
