The workshop will also identify scope for regional cooperation on low carbon development as advocacy mandate for CAN South Asia and will consolidate the outcomes of the Pro-poor Low Carbon Development Strategies project.
CAN South Asia with members and partners such as Janathakshan, IDEA, Development Alternatives, AIWC and INFORSE South Asia started advocacy for pro-poor low carbon development strategies as a concerted effort in 2014 for upcoming opportunities to influence national and international policies such as UN SDGs, INDCs, COP21 Paris Agreement. The 2 years of experience will be shared and discussed amongst project members and partners to consolidate the learning for future work required in South Asia. The considerable scope for regional cooperation is still largely unutilized which is also part of the workshop agenda.
