Regional Dialogue on Advancing Climate Justice and Building Resilient Communities in South Asia

Date: 26 May 2026

The Regional Dialogue, held in Kathmandu in 2026, brought together civil society organisations, regional institutions, youth networks, researchers, and other stakeholders to strengthen collective action on climate justice and resilience in South Asia. Building on shared regional challenges, the dialogue explored priorities including adaptation and loss and damage, climate-induced displacement, resilient food systems, air pollution, inclusive climate governance, and equitable access to climate finance. Discussions emphasised the importance of community-led solutions, indigenous and local knowledge, meaningful participation of youth and marginalised groups, and stronger regional cooperation to translate shared experiences and knowledge into collective action.

A series of short reflections from participants of the Regional Dialogue on Advancing Climate Justice and Building Resilient Communities in South Asia.
