Advocacy is a key tool for linking grass-root action to policy makers, and CANSA and Southern Voices project have understood this. In order to highlight the key elements that lead to efficient and productive advocacy, CANSA in partnership with Inforse is organising the first regional workshop with the aim of providing partner organisations to share their experiences and to learn from others shared knowledge.
The workshop will be held on the 21st of August 2013, at Developmental Alternatives in New Delhi with the participation of members of partner networks of the Southern Voices Project for Asia. The structure of the workshop will be mainly interactive with ample space for participants to raise their concerns, and to interact with resource persons.
The key areas of focus are advocacy experience sharing, communication and campaigning. Among resource persons present will be Peter With – Coordinator of Southern Voices Project, Sanjay Vashist – Director CAN South Asia, WaelMhaidat – Director CAN International, Raja Jarrah- CARE International, ShaliendraYashwant – Former Campaigns Coordinator India and South East Asia for Green Peace.
