An equitable and ambitious agreement in COP21 is essential to keep the global average temperature below 2 degree threshold. In order to ensure India put forward an ambitious climate committment in the forthcoming climate summit, a mobilisation initiative is underway in india to shape the opinions of stakeholders towards an strong and decisive climate agreement.
The initiative includes state consultations and technical policy position papers on key issues to engage the parliamentarians, policy-makers, government officials, issue experts, media and other local stakeholders. The next state consultation will be heldin Raipur, Chattisgarh on 9th September in collaboration with Oxfam India.
