The Group of 20 (G20)
The Group of Twenty (G20) is the premier forum for international economic cooperation. It plays an important role in shaping and strengthening global architecture and governance on all major international economic issues. India holds the Presidency of the G20 from 1 December 2022 to 30 November 2023.
Civil 20 India 2023
C20 India 2023 is one of the official Engagement Groups of the G20 that provides a platform for Civil Society Organizations (CSO) around the world to voice the people’s aspirations to the world leaders in G20. It gives CSOs a forum to protect the agency of this sector, reflect the primary and common concerns affecting the world’s peoples, and to promote social and economic development with the vision of leaving no one behind.
Working Group on Sustainable & Resilient Communities
The C20 India 2023 Working Group on Climate, Environment and Net Zero Targets is one of the 14 Working Groups that have been formed under C20 India 2023. The group aims to bring out dialogues and deliberations in specific thematic areas to bring out the voice of civil society organizations to G20 leadership to address the pressing challenges of the day.
The event aims to bring out extensive dialogue and engagement with Civil Society Organizations, Policymakers, representatives from government and non-governmental agencies, and academicians from around the world to understand existing global policies related to the thematic areas above, identify gaps and come up with innovative solutions which will then be presented to the G20 nations at the summit in September 2023.
