In the background of COP24 to be held in Katowice in Poland during December 2018, a workshop on background, relevance and politics around this Climate Summit is being jointly organized by Thanal, Climate Action Network South Asia (CANSA) and Green Army International on 17th November at Thiruvananthapuram.
The workshop will be led by Mr Shailendra Yashwant, former Campaign Director – Green Peace Asia and Mr Sanjay Vashisth, Director CANSA. The duo has vast experience in following up UNFCCC process as observers and have ample experience in working with grass root level initiatives across the world.
The half-day workshop is intended for youth in and around Thiruvananthapuram. The objective of the workshop is to create awareness among youth on international climate change policy instruments and its processes. This will help them to follow UNFCCC to relate it with State-level development planning and to get involved in local actions oriented towards Climate Resilient Kerala.
