Assessment of SAARC Thimphu Declaration on Energy and Climate Change

The policy brief titled “Assessment of SAARC Thimphu Declaration on Energy and Climate Change” is the result of the Panel Discussion on Ensuring Energy Security and Low-Carbon Development in South Asia, held at Kathmandu, Nepal, organised by CANSA (Climate Action Network of South Asia), in August 2011.

The policy brief discusses the SAARC declaration resulted from 18th SAARC Summit organised in Thimpu, Bhutan. The report discusses energy and climate change situation of South Asia and proposes key steps required to operationalise the SAARC Declaration.
