Supporting Indo-German Understanding Of Climate Change Negotiation Positions

he project seeks to support the Indo-German understanding of negotiating positions, which are relevant for the success of the envisioned UNFCCC outcome in Paris 2015. The project involves observaing  the UNFCCC processes in regard to sustainable energy, mitigation, resilience, means of implementation, etc. Major Economies Forum (MEF), G20 and G8, Petersberg Dialogue, Millennium Development Goal (MDG)/ Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) and post-2015 outcomes will be observed and analysed when relevant.

The final version of the issue paper is scheduled to be released in October 2015. Duration of the project is from April 2014 to 31 March 2016.The partners of the project are The Federal Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt-UBA), The Federal ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear safety (BMU) of Germany and German Watch.

Current Activities:

A dialogue between issue experts of India and Germany had been organised in Bonn, Germany. A side event was organised on the sidelines of Conference of Parties in Lima, Peru.
