At their joint summit in May 2020, India and the EU agreed on the “EU-India Strategic Partnership: A Roadmap to 2025”. Climate change and clean energy, as well as the environment more broadly, are a distinct element within that roadmap. More than twenty thousand people took to the streets today in 10 Asian countries to demand a rapid, just and equitable end to fossil fuels. The Asian mobilizations kicked off historic climate marches happening around the world this week. Millions are expected to join more than 650 climate marches and actions planned between September 15 to 17 in 60 countries.
The LCOY India team organized array of workshops, technical sessions, and interactive experiences along with a field trip to communities and sectors affected by climate change, followed by an open forum where partners, youth-led initiatives, and national/regional campaigns can share their perspectives.
